Want to drive a school bus?

The El Dorado County School Transportation Council is compiling a list of people interested in training to become professional school bus drivers. Many school districts in El Dorado County are seeking qualified school bus drivers for their home to school program and relief driving positions.

An orientation meeting is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at the El Dorado Union High School District Transportation Office, 4675 Missouri Flat Road, Placerville, behind the Lions Hall. This meeting will provide parties with information about the next original school bus driver certification class.

The class sessions will take place from 5:30 to 8:45 beginning Sept. 17. California State Certified Inspectors will present the classes.
