Warriors shut out Yerington
The Whittell girls soccer team continued its playoff push with a 13-0 win against Yerington this past weekend.
The girls cruised to a 7-0 lead in the first half, and added another six goals in the second.
Usually in the goal, senior Brittany Boulet led the charge with three goals for the Warriors.
Junior Corinne Novotny and freshmen Madison Idso and Alison Copsy each scored two goals apiece.
Goals also came from Sabrina Trachsel, Lauren George, Daria Sharon and Chelsea Aguirre-Rodriguez.
Michael Gardner led the Warriors in assists. The junior set up two goals for Whittell. Trachsel, Copsy, Idso, Novotny and Aguirre-Rodriguez all added assists.
Defensively, Boulet and George shared the shutout. Defensive back Skylar Smith was also a big part of that shutout.
