Water specialist hails from Tahoe

Marine Corps Pfc. Matthew R. Pantel, son of Kathryn M. Rosick of South Lake Tahoe recently graduated from the Basic Hygiene Equipment Operator Course at Marine Corps Engineer School, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N. C.

During the course, Pantel received instruction in basic plumbing, maintenance management, military water supply, water purification and hygiene equipment, and field sanitation.

With his newly acquired skills, Pantel is ready to provide maintenance at a Marine Corps base or serve with a field unit ensuring troops have an adequate water supply and necessary hygiene equipment.

Pantel is a 2004 graduate of Mount Tallac High School of South Lake Tahoe and joined the Marine Corps in November 2004.
