Watercolorist featured at Marcus Ashley Galleries through Sunday

Tahoe Daily Tribune

Marcus Ashley Galleries will highlight the wine and art of Pamela Findleton from 1-5 p.m. today, Sunday, Feb. 24.

Findelton is a Tahoe-area watercolor impressionist who has won numerous national and international awards. Her style features loose strokes and an unexpected color palette.

Locals and tourists alike revere her for her portrayal of wolves and bears; particularly their lifelike eyes, which portray a wide range of emotions. The uniqueness of each animal’s disposition ” the way the heads slant, the way their body language conveys emotion ” impresses collectors.

Findleton will be painting in the gallery both days. Marcus Ashley Galleries will unveil originals and a new line of high-quality and affordable limited-addition prints.

The gallery is between Jamba Juice and Starbucks in Raley’s Village Center, and offers free parking. For more information, call (530) 544-4ART or preview Findelton’s artwork at http://www.marcusashley.com
