Lake Tahoe weather: Slight chance of flurries Friday; storm possible Sunday

After three consecutive days of rain and snow, the Tahoe Basin could see a slight break from the storms.

There will be a 30-40 percent chance for snow and rain Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Reno. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible Friday.

High temperatures will reach the low-40s, while the low will dip to 37 degrees in South Lake Tahoe and 35 in Incline Village.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures reaching the mid-40s and lows falling to the mid-30s.

Sunday will bring a 90 percent chance of precipitation, with rain likely at lake level before 4 p.m. High temperatures will reach the mid-40s. New snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible during the day.

Conditions on Sunday will be breezy, with a southwest wind ranging from 15 to 20 mph and gusts as strong as 35 mph.

Snow accumulation of 1-3 inches is possible Sunday night.

There is a 20 percent chance of precipitation Monday morning.
