What’s Happening

Using music as her medium, spiritual director Kathy Zavada will offer an inspirational workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Unity at the Lake. She also will perform that morning at Unity’s 10 a.m. Sunday service.

Both events are scheduled at Unity’s regular meeting space, the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

The theme for this year’s seminar is freedom. The most basic requirement for happiness is freedom from anything that blocks the heart’s natural flow, including anger, despair, jealousy or delusion.

When we let go a little, we have a little happiness. When we let go a lot, we have a lot of happiness.

When we let go completely, we are free.

There are solid and practical practices that help us release or dissolve negative emotions, and through a series of spiritual exercises, Zavada will lead participants to experience a clear and open heart.

An offering of $20 will be appreciated. For more information call Unity at the Lake at (530) 544-2266.
