All South Lake Tahoe Unified School District students are invited to enter the International Aviation Art Contest.
This year the theme is “Create An Air Show Poster.” Entries must be 11-by-17 inches and must be an original work not produced by electronic means.
Each local school will distribute official entry forms when classes resume. However, interested students are encouraged to begin their art project now as the entry deadline is Jan. 10.
Students who wish to make an additional piece of artwork or students who are unable to meet the deadline for the international contest may submit artwork to the local contest following the same guidelines. Entries should be brought or mailed to Superior Aviation, 1841 Airport Road, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. Entries for the local contest are due by March 1. Winning entries in each age group will be used for the official air show poster for the Lake Tahoe Airshow in August.
