Sign-ups are going on now for swim lessons at the South Lake Tahoe Parks & Recreation Swim Pool Complex, 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd.

Group lessons are for youth 3 to 13 years of age. Afternoon and evening classes start March 22. The cost is $35 for any of the six-class, 40-minute sessions.

Private swim lessons are going on now for all ages and abilities.



The cost is $20 per half-hour for one student. Check out times and instructors’ availability at the Recreation Complex.

Register for all class at the Recreation and Swim Pool Complex Monday through Saturday. Call (530) 542-6056 or stop by the complex.



Adult softball sign-ups starting

This year’s adult softball is sponsored by South Tahoe Softball Leagues. Returning teams from the 2004 adult softball leagues have until March 24 to sign up. All new teams will sign up March 29. A manager’s softball league meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. March 22 at Steamers’ Bar and Grill.

New this year will be an adult wooden bat with a 16-inch softball league. Gloves are optional. Anyone wishing to have an adult softball day league organized may call Jack Francis. Register at Steamers. Call Francis at (530) 577-2405.
