Tahoe Gymnastics will have a tryout for its newly formed competitive all-star cheerleading squad Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m.

Competitive cheerleading is the combination of three sports: gymnastics tumbling, hip hop dance, and cheer stunting. Gymnastics, dance, and/or cheerleading experience is recommended. Ages from 5 to 18 years of age are encouraged to tryout.

Participants should arrive early with a guardian to fill out paperwork and pick up an informational handout.

For more information call Angelia Almos at Tahoe Gymnastics at (530) 544-7314.

In addition, starting in September Tahoe Gymnastics will offer free cheer practice at the gym to school and community-based cheerleading squads.
