The Optimist Club of South Lake Tahoe will conduct its 42nd annual Easter egg hunt on April 15 in the Lake Tahoe Community College parking lot near the gymnasium.

The hunt will take place regardless of weather.

An Easter parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by an Easter bonnet contest with prizes at 10:40 a.m., an Easter costume contest at 10:45 a.m., and an Easter egg hunt by age groups with prizes at 11 a.m.

The egg hunt will conclude at 11:05 a.m. – so you’ll want to be on time.

The egg hunt will be divided into the following age groups: Birth to 2 years, 3-4, 4-5, 6-7, 7-8, 8-9 and 9-11.

An egg hunt for special-needs individuals will take place at the same time.

Douglas Dems meet at new HQ

The Douglas County Democratic Central Committee will hold its next monthly meeting at 7 p.m. April 6 at their new headquarters in the old Minden Creamery, 1617 Water St., Minden, Nev.

The upcoming state Democratic convention will be the focus of the discussion along with other campaign-related topics. All Douglas Democrats are encouraged to attend.
