Take your workout outdoors at a new class offered at Kahle Community Center. Group classes involve activities designed to improve aerobic conditioning, strength, flexibility and overall athleticism.

Classes will address total body conditioning, provide lots of motivation and will be heaps of fun. Instructor Robin Barnes will hold classes from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Monday and Wednesday starting Sept. 4. The fee is $10 per class.

Legion post sets 9/11 ceremony

American Legion Post 795, 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd., will remember Sept. 11, 2001, with a memorial service on Patriot Day. The service will begin at 11 a.m. Sept. 11 at the Legion parking lot. Remember the American Flag should be flown at half-mast from sunrise to sunset on Sept. 11.

The public is invited to attend to honor the firefighters and police officers who died on 9/11. The American Legion will also honor all military men and women. Cake and coffee will be served after the service.
