Two gymnastics camps at Tumbleweeds

Tumbleweeds Gymnastics Kids Camp and Cheer will host its sixth annual Summer of Fun through Aug. 10. The exciting and educational kids camp program offers two fun-filled summer camps designed for children ages 4 through 16.

Summer Fun Day Camp for children 4 through 12 takes place at Tumbleweeds Gymnastic Center in Minden and features gymnastics, team sports, crafts and movie field trips.

Adventure Day Camp is for youth 6 through 14. The camp features gymnastics and team sports plus exciting outdoor adventure activities at Lake Tahoe including mountain biking, kayaking and horseback riding.

Fire victims can use hotline to get help

Sierra Community Church has set up a hotline and e-mail at the church as an aid for people who have been affected by the Angora fire. They want to meet the specific needs of people as they arrive.

The hotline can be used to request help in any area, long term or short term. If you leave a message with a request for help we will contact you as soon as possible. The phone number is (530) 544-7055, ext. 401. The e-mail is sierracomfire@sbcglobal.net. Kristen Stephens is the main contact.

Free services offered include:

— Housing: long term/short term free/rental

— Manual labor: moving, clean-up, tree work, electrical bulldozer

— Monetary assistance

— Advising: financial, insurance, realty, construction, legal, mortgage and taxes

— Counseling: qualified and licensed adult and children counselors for adults and children

— Fire and smoke damage restoration

— Sifting of ashes on property

— Childcare, babysitting, child counseling

— Clothing, furniture, appliances, vehicle, storage

— State of the art smoke removal and air purifying system

— Pet care, boarding and supplies

— Prayer.
