The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library will offer a free computer class from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 12 at the library, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd.

Introduction to Computers is geared toward the beginning computer user, helping build basic computer skills for everyday use. The class will cover fundamental computer terminology, opening and closing programs, window navigation and introductory word processing.

This is an introductory course for those with little to no computer experience. To take part in this class, participants must have some experience using a computer mouse before the class session. A free mouse tutorial is available at the library.



Sign up by calling the library at (530) 573-3185, or stop by the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library. Classes fill quickly, so reserve your spot today. The computer lab is closed to the public during classes.

Swim clinics return



Swim clinics with Derek Beller are back and will take place from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturdays, Jan. 12 through March 29, at the South Lake Tahoe Parks & Recreation Swim Pool Complex. Drop in any Saturday morning. The cost is $20 per date. No clinics are scheduled Feb. 9 or March 15. Participants must be able to swim and be 14 or older.
