Bingo games will take place at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center this Saturday.

Help raise money for the Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd., while possibly winning some games. Early-bird games begin at 5:30 p.m., and regular games start at 6 p.m., with 17 basic games to play.

Refreshments are provided.



The town of Genoa invites amateur or semiprofessional singers, actors, storytellers, poets, dancers, puppeteers and other live performers to showcase their talents during the 88th annual Genoa Candy Dance on Sept. 27 and 28.

The town has a new performance platform and soundstage located in the park, and performers will get to showcase their talent before an estimated crowd of 60,000.



Those attending the event will have the opportunity to select their favorite performers and the crowd favorite, which will be announced after 3 p.m. Sept. 28.
