The community is invited to share in the retirement celebration of the Honorable Melvin E. Beverly on June 23. Commissioner Beverly is a longtime resident, lawyer and court commissioner. He helped establish the South Lake Tahoe Branch of the El Dorado County Superior Court. He also was named the first family law commissioner in 1989.

The retirement dinner for Beverly will take place at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe Convention Center with a no-host bar at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. The dinner is $35 per person, which includes the gift. Contact the CASA office at (530) 573-3072 to make reservations or send a check to MEB Retirement Dinner, 1354 Johnson Blvd., Suite 2, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. Plan to join in honoring this fine gentleman for his contributions to the community.
