What’s Happening- Kid’s Fishing Derby approaches

Raley’s Stores and the South Tahoe Optimist Club are again hosting the annual Sawmill Pond Children’s Fishing Derby. The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 2 at Sawmill Pond.

Children 14 years and younger are invited to come and enjoy fishing in the well-stocked pond. Raley’s will provide free hot dogs and drinks for the kids. Some fishing poles will be provided but parents are encouraged to provide a pole. This has always been a great event and organizers suspect that many families will enjoy trout for dinner that night.
