What’s Happening- Library Booksale

The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library is seeking help to prepare for its annual book sale scheduled for late this summer.

Organizers are suggesting that while people are doing their spring cleaning they set aside recent books (within the past decade,) books on tape, videos and CDs, which are all popular at the book sales.

It also is time for people to do their taxes. Since donations to the library are tax deductible people can get a jump on next year’s taxes with a donation to the library. Staff members will provide a tax receipt for 2001 to anyone who brings in items to donate.

This is a great opportunity for people to clean out their closets, free up some room in their house and get a nice tax deduction at the same time. The sale will help provide funds to buy new books for next year.
