South Tahoe High School is adopting three new textbooks for the coming school year, and public input is encouraged.

The senior English critical reading and writing course will switch to “The Essay Connection” by Houghton Miffin, eighth edition.

The economics class for seniors will adopt “Economics” by Holt, Reinhart and Winston, and the juniors will also switch their U.S. History textbook to “History Alive!” by Pursuing American Ideals.

Public comments will be welcomed at the Jan. 8 board meeting for the English textbook. For the other two texts, comments will be heard at the Jan. 22 meeting.

All materials will be on display at the Lake Tahoe Unified School District Education Center, located at 1021 Al Tahoe Blvd.
