Whittell girls tie North Tahoe

ZEPHYR COVE, Nev. – This time last week the lady Warriros were recovering from a 7-0 loss to South Tahoe High School, but since then Whittel hasn’t lost a match defeating Quincy High School Monday night, 4-0, and tied North Tahoe High School 1-1 on Tuesday.

“I’m happy with the result,” said girls coach Pat Kelly. “The girls played really hard tonght.

“I though we really played asa team. We defended as a team and attacked as a team.”

The Warriors had a goal from Jenny Shepack, who had a free kick from the top of the box that sailed in.

“It was actually a really nce goal,” said Kelly.

The Warriors are off for a while, not playing again till Sept. 22 against Incline High School. Coach Kelly hopes to keep the momentum going.

“We’re starting to play soccer, we’re starting to get some better looks here and there,” he said.
