Whittell High School will host a blood drive with United Blood Services from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday.
Donating blood takes about an hour. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be at least 17 years old (16 with a Parental consent form) and be in generally good health. Donors must bring a photo ID and should drink plenty of fluids and eat a good meal before donating.
March is “Donor Appreciation Month.” All donors will receive 300 extra hero reward points. Save lives, and time, with the online health history Fast Pass at http://www.UnitedBloodServices.org. The health history must be completed the same day as the donation.
Donate in the New Gym at 2040 Warrior Way, Zephyr Cove; the parking lot is in the rear of the high school.
Appointments are recommended and can be made by calling 588-3591 for Kate, or by going on line at http://www.bloodhero.com and use the sponsor code: WHITTELL.
