‘Wine down’ fundraiser at Apres to benefit three local nonprofits

Apres Wine Company has announced the first event of its new Wine-down fundraiser series, in which a portion of all proceeds is donated to charity.

From 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, 10 percent of all purchases of wine, food, bottled wine and gifts will benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates, the South Lake Tahoe Women’s Center and Tahoe Youth and Family Services. The store is at 3668 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

“We’re looking forward to a fun night with the friends, volunteers and employees of CASA, SLTWC and TYFS who make such a difference in South Lake Tahoe,” said Apres Wine Company owners JP Lonergan and Barbara Tenney.

On the same evening, “A Memory, a Monologue, a Rant and a Prayer” will be on stage at the Montbleu Casino Resort and Spa for V-Day 2010 to benefit the same charities.

Patrons must present a flyer during the fundraiser. For more information and to print a flyer, visit http://www.apreswineco.com or call Kelly at CASA at (530) 573-3072.
