Wine tasting event helps Heavenly Foundation

Provided to the TribuneNoel Dufty, Heavenly Ski & Snowboard Foundation coach; Jonna Mendes, Olympic skier; and Jim Warlow, owner of Cork and More invite the community to join them at the Grapes & Gates fund-raiser to benefit the foundation athletes on May 22.

Heavenly Ski & Snowboard Foundation, in conjunction with event sponsors, The Cork and More and Edgewood Golf Club, will conduct their annual Grapes and Gates Invitational fund-raiser May 22 at Edgewood Tahoe.

The wine tasting event will feature premium wines, gourmet food tasting from many fine local restaurants, a special “tequila” tasting and both a live and silent auction. The cost is $50 per person.

Through the success of last year’s event the foundation was able to assist several young athletes this year. Profits from the year’s event will again be used to build an educational and athletic scholarship fund to assist children and their families to offset the cost of training equipment, race fees, travel and college tuitions.

Ticket sales are limited and it is suggested that reservations be made early. To make a reservation and for more information call the Heavenly Ski Foundation at (530) 541-7354.
