Wine-tasting event seeks entries for poster contest

Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe is preparing for its 36th annual “An Evening of Food and Wine Tasting” event scheduled in November at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. The club’s cultural arts committee is accepting original artwork entries from local artists for the annual poster contest.

The contest rules are:

— Present an original art piece using the theme “Wine Tasting in Tahoe.”



— The winner will receive $500 for her or her artwork plus two tickets to the 2008 wine tasting.

— The original art piece will become the property of Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe and will be auctioned off at the silent auction.



— Artwork size should be 11 by 18 inches and will be used to advertise the event.

— The contest starts March 5 and ends May 31.

— Artwork will be judged, with the winner announced in June.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California lifted regional stay-at-home orders across the state Monday in response to improving coronavirus conditions, returning the state to a system of county-by-county restrictions, state health officials announced.
