Wine walk to benefit TAP

Wines on The Lake and several other Heavenly Village boutiques and stores will host a wine walk to support Tahoe Arts Project, a local nonprofit organization. The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 20 at Heavenly Village.

Participating shops are Wines on The Lake, The Treehouse, Sun Art, Rock Your World, Wyland Gallery, Oh My Godard Gallery, Sun Art, Cold Stone Creamery, Del Sol, Scruples, Cowboys and Indians, Rocky Mt. Chocolate, Allure Hair and Nail Spa, High Chaparral, Helly Hansen, Rain Urbana, Sealed With a Kiss, Village Art Gallery, Tahoe Boot ‘n’ Bike Works Cinnebon and The Gold Store.

The cost is $20 and includes a wine glass with a TAP logo along with a map of the Heavenly Village highlighting participating stores. Check in at the TAP table near the ice rink to purchase your glass and pick up your map.

A raffle will round out the event with Village stores donating a variety of prizes. Raffle tickets are $5 and the winner does not need to be present.

All proceeds from this event will go towards artist’s fees for TAP’s 2007-2008 season. TAP’s performing arts in the schools provide more than 5,000 kindergarten through 12th-grade students the opportunity to experience live performing artists from various cultures. By attending this event, you will be doing your part to enrich the lives of these children.

The mission of Tahoe Arts Project is to provide cultural enrichment and diversity for the community through the arts and education with particular focus on our youth. For more information on TAP or The Wine Walk, call (530) 542-3632.
