With the Aspens all aglow in a splendid array of yellow, it is only a matter of time before winter arrives in Lake Tahoe.

To know what is in store for this winter, it is imperative to be at the Tahoe Winter Expo from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 18 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe Convention Center.

There will be more than 50 booths – all are Lake Tahoe area businesses which have a role in winter. This includes ski resorts, restaurants, ski shops, massage therapists, casinos and more. There will be an abundant supply of food and beverages to sample, apparel to check out, information to gather, friends to see, and fun to be had. A silent auction and raffle will add to the night’s festivities.

All proceeds benefit Core 24 Charities, a nonprofit based in Stateline. Core 24 gave out $15,000 this year from Winter Expo 2004 proceeds.

Tickets are $10 in advance and may be purchased at the South Lake Tahoe and Tahoe-Douglas chambers of commerce, Placer Title and Dickson McCall Realty in Nevada. Tickets are $15 at the door.
