Winter X Games staying in Aspen a little longer

ASPEN, Colo. (AP) – ESPN and Aspen Skiing Co. have reached an agreement that will keep the Winter X Games in Aspen and Snowmass Village through 2014.

Terms weren’t announced Tuesday.

The Winter X Games launched at Snow Summit Mountain Resort in California in 1997 before moving to Crested Butte, Colo., for two years and then Mount Snow in Vermont the next two years.

The Winter X Games have been in Aspen since 2002.
