Witch set to read Halloween stories

Douglas County children’s librarian Carol Rapacz, alias Tilly the Witch, will read Halloween stories and poems from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Lake Tahoe Branch Library in Zephyr Cove Park.

Children ages 4 and up are welcome to listen to stories from the books, “Making Friends with Frankenstein” by Colin McNaughton and “The Spook Matinee and Other Scary Poems for Kids” by George Ulrich. Other library books, special pop-up books and a flashlight story from Tilly’s collection will be featured. Tilly will end the program with her favorite poem, “Spider on the Floor.”
