Woman pleads guilty of seducing teen

A 25-year-old woman accused of seducing a 15-year-old boy pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

A psychological evaluation of Elizabeth Ann Evans concluded that she was mentally functioning as a 13- or 14-year-old, her defense attorney told the court.

Adding another twist to the case, Evans appeared in the Tahoe Township Justice Court pregnant. Her attorney confirmed that Evans was six months pregnant, and she claims the father is the 15-year-old. He said the boy’s parents plan to contest that claim.

Evans was arrested Sept. 2 after Douglas County Sheriff’s investigators received a tip leading them to the victim.

The boy, a Whittell High School student, told detectives that he had sex with Evans more than a month before her arrest. The charges of statutory sexual seduction relating to the 15-year-old, and destruction of property were dismissed Wednesday. Evans’s delinquency charges involved an alleged sexual contact with a 16-year-old boy and supplying alcohol to a teen-age girl.

Judge Steven McMorris suspended Evans’ sentence of six months in the Douglas County Jail and placed her on probation. Conditions of her probation include: no contact with the victims; no dating of minors; and she must seek counseling.

Evans and the 15-year-old boy were living at the same apartment complex.
