Woman rescued from fire still critical
A South Lake Tahoe woman overcome by smoke in her mobile home Thursday remained in critical condition Monday.
Rosemarie Galli, 57, was in the intensive care unit at Barton Memorial Hospital four days after firefighters pulled her from her home in the Tahoe Verde Mobile Home Park. South Lake Tahoe police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
Neighbors reported the fire after seeing smoke coming from Galli’s home. Residents of the park attempted to go in and rescue her but the smoke was too thick. Firefighters found Galli unconscious in the living room.
