There’s an understandable reason Michelle Pruett isn’t around Thursday to talk about her good fortune at Stateline this week.

The 38-year-old, self-employed Folsom woman took her $1 million of winnings from a video poker tournament at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe and went on a cruise, the casino reported Thursday.

She wrapped up the four-hour tournament earning 8,162 points and claiming she plans to “travel the globe.” It’s the casino’s second annual event, bringing out 218 players this year.

Her prize will be paid in $50,000 annual installments over 20 years.
