Workshop at college Thursday to focus on 56-acre project

A public workshop on the 56-Acre project in South Lake Tahoe will be held at Lake Tahoe Community College on Thursday night.

A preliminary plan for the site was unveiled at a steering committee meeting on Oct. 11.

Most of the project site lies immediately south of El Dorado Beach and now houses a recreation complex, museum, senior center, library and popular campground.

The workshop will be held in the Aspen Room of the college’s library building and is scheduled to last from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
