Workshop teaches how to get your writing published

LAKE TAHOE ” Do you have an article, book or screenplay ready to be published and don’t know how to do it? Here’s your opportunity to learn what to do and how to do it.

The community is invited to “Writers Who Wine” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 23 at Picchetti Winery, 3135 Harrison Ave. (Lake Tahoe Boulevard at San Jose Avenue.)

Presented by the Lake Tahoe branch of The National League of American Pen Women, the event is open to both men and women.

“Writers Who Wine” will provide an opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine, learn how to get published, meet other writers and share ideas and information.

Jennifer Basye Sander, publishing and editorial director of Big City Books, founder of Write by the Lake Women’s Writing Retreats, and author of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Getting Published” will be the guest speaker. She will discuss several topics including How to Get Published and What’s Hot Today. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

Sander will have copies of “A Complete Idiot’s Guide to Getting Published” for purchase as well as information on her writing retreats. Pen Women and Picchetti Winery will also have brochures and information available.

There is no admission fee. Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle and complimentary snacks will be provided. Ample parking is located off San Jose Avenue behind Picchetti Winery.
