Workshop to focus on tourism, technology and marketing
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The second annual SMG Tourism, Technology + Marketing Workshop will provide hands on sessions on developing a social media strategy, online video, mobile marketing and more.
The workshop is set for Oct. 12 at the Embassy Suites Resort in South Lake Tahoe.
“Technology has had such an impact on tourism marketing, and it’s imperative for destination marketing executives to understand this new landscape in order to develop more targeted marketing programs,” said Carl Ribaudo, President of SMG.
The workshop will have two different tracks for those new to technology and more advanced users.
“The SMG Tourism, Technology + Marketing workshop is intended to help marketers navigate through the assortment of technologies facing us today, and provide them with the online tools needed to positively impact their bottom line,” Ribaudo said.
The workshop intends to bring together online marketing and technology experts in the greater Tahoe region, creating a network of like minds, in order to generate new ideas and ultimately new business to the area, Ribaudo said.
