Twelve days of poker tournaments kick off at Lake Tahoe’s South Shore this week with the return of the annual World Series of Poker Circuit stop at Harveys Lake Tahoe.

The event kicks off Thursday, Oct. 29, with a variety of poker tournaments and continues through Sunday, Nov. 8. Main events take place Friday, Nov. 6, and Saturday, Nov. 7.

“WSOP Circuit Events are designed to give the recreational and amateur player an opportunity to participate in the WSOP experience at a more affordable price point and with less of a time commitment than the traditional WSOP in Las Vegas,” according to a press release for the circuit. “Each stop features 12 official events in 12 days, including a $1675 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Main Event – the most expensive buy-in event on the 12-event schedule at each stop.”

The circuit tour includes 19 stops and culminates with a national championship tournament. Harveys is the sixth stop on the tour.

Buy-ins for the circuit events start at $65.

The end of the circuit event at Harveys corresponds with this year’s final table of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. The final nine players in the Vegas event will reconvene Nov. 8. ESPN will begin coverage of the final table 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, and continue coverage through Tuesday, Nov. 10.
