Yacht club’s Beach Bash is tonight

Provided to the Tribune

The South Lake Tahoe Yacht Club is having a “Beach Bash” today at Round Hill Pines Resort. Beginning at 6 p.m. with a no host cocktail hour, the members and their guests will feast on a buffet including barbecue chicken and tri-tip. For reservations call Jean Jenkins at (530) 577-7181.

On Aug. 17 club members are invited to meet on their boats in the Keys homeowners’ lagoon at 10 a.m. and cruise to Emerald Bay. After dropping anchor near Vikingsholm, we will have a picnic on the beach. It’s a YOYO (you’re on your own) cruise so bring your food, beverages, chairs, etc. If you can’t meet at 10 a.m., come on over when you can. We will stay until mid-afternoon. Any questions call Elton Stone at (530) 542-1339 or Jerry Kahler at (530) 541-1120.

Take a sumptuous dinner cruise with the club on the Safari Rose Aug. 25. The boat will leave dock at the Tahoe Keys Marina at 5 p.m. (be there by 4:30 p.m. ) and explore the lake until 8 p.m. It’s fun to see the lake while enjoying cocktails and dining – especially when someone else is behind the wheel.

For reservations call Jack Kahler at (530) 541-1120.

The South Lake Tahoe Yacht Club serves members in California and Nevada and is open to those interested in boating and good times. Owning a boat is not a requirement for membership. The club is an active member of the Pacific Inter-Club Yachting Association and supports Recreational Boaters of America (our lobbying group.) For membership information call Dale Nielsen at (530) 544-1115 or Wendy Oleson at (530) 542-3465.
