1. Homewood Fine Arts and Crafts Festival

Enjoy shopping works of art from over 30 artisans during the Pacific Fine Arts Festival’s display of ceramics, woodwork, photography, jewelry, and more.

Where: Homewood Mountain Resort

When: Friday, Aug. 11 – Sunday, Aug. 13

Cost: Free


2. 37th Annual Incline Open Tournament

Enjoy fun and competitive tennis matches for players of all skill level including men’s, women’s, mixed, singles and doubles matches. Barbecue and beer will be served on Saturday night.

Where: Incline Village Recreation & Tennis Center

When: Friday, Aug. 11 – Sunday, Aug. 13

Cost: Singles: $40, Doubles/Mixed Doubles: $35, per person


3. Samantha Fish at the Crystal Bay Club

Enjoy the raw, scrappy rock ‘n’ roll, and blues sounds from Samantha Fish, followed by an after-party with Pamela Parker’s Fantastic Machine at the CBC.

Where: Crystal Bay Club Casino

When: Friday, August 11 | 10 p.m.

4. Telemann’s Table Music at Coffeebar Squaw

Sit back and enjoy your coffee like the kings and queens did, set to live Table Music, presented by Coburn Music.

Where: Coffeebar, Squaw Valley

When: Saturday, August 12 | 9-11 a.m.

Cost: Free, donations suggested


5. 16th Annual Brews, Jazz and Funk Fest

Get funky at Squaw Valley in support of the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, and presented in partnership with Fifty Fifty Brewing Co. All ages are welcome to enjoy great music, while guests 21 and up will have a variety of breweries to choose from.

Where: Squaw Valley

When: Saturday, Aug. 12 – Sunday, Aug. 13

Cost: $5 donation entry; $5 beers for ages 21+


6. Intro to Crochet

Atelier Truckee will host a two-hour class in learning the basics of yarn, needles, and pattern reading to begin your craft in crochet, or pick up where you left off years ago.

Where: Atelier Truckee

When: Saturday, Aug. 12 | 2-4 p.m.

Cost: $42


7. The Great Gatsby Festival

Head to South Lake Tahoe for a two-day festival celebrating the 1920s with vintage cars, music, children’s games, and vendors selling period clothing. Costumes are encouraged, and guests will delight in activities and food.

Where: Tahoe Heritage Center, South Lake Tahoe

When: Saturday, Aug. 12 – Sunday, Aug. 13

Cost: Free event


8. The Festival Fashion Runway

Dress the Party will help you complete your perfect festival costume looks during their all-out celebration, featuring a playa-inspired fashion show, and all the clothing pieces and accessories you could need.

Where: Dress the Party, Truckee

When: Sunday, Aug. 13 | 1 p.m.

Cost: Free event


9. Family Golf Tournament

Head to the Incline Village Mountain Golf Course for a family fun golf challenge designed for adults with their child or grandchild ages 17 and under, followed by a barbecue celebration.

Where: Incline Village Mountain Golf Course

When: Sunday, Aug. 13 | 2-6 p.m.

Cost: $60 registration fee includes golf, barbecue, and awards.


10. Tahoe Mermaid Beach Party

Join an aerial hoop workshop with Meredith Calderas, followed by play time in Tahoe, including a photo shoot wearing mermaid tails and enjoying mocktails. Twelve mermaids max, adults only.

Where: Mourelatos Lakeshore Resort

When: Sunday, Aug. 13 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Cost: Workshop, no mermaid tail: $40; Workshop and rental tail: $60; Workshop and mermaid tail purchase: $130
