1. North Lake Tahoe SnowFest! 2017
The 36th annual celebration continues this weekend with the culmination of 10 days and nights of events across the North Shore. This weekend, Kings Beach is on display, with a parade set for 11:30 a.m. in downtown highlighting the festivities.

2. Golden Reunion Weekend at Diamond Peak
All past Diamond Peak employees are invited back for a fun weekend of events, reminiscing and live music as part of the ski resort’s 50th anniversary celebration.

Cost: $50 for past employees who register in advance

3. 2017 Audi FIS World Cup
Squaw Valley will host the women’s Audi FIS World Cup event all weekend long, featuring slalom and giant slalom races from the world’s best skiers, live music, shopping, fireworks and more.

4. Opening Reception for ‘Image Nation’ Display
The Truckee Public Arts Commission will host an open opening reception is planned for its spring 2017 art display, Image Nation, featuring photos, self portraits and pictures of Nevada County veterans’ hands. Wine will be served along with yummy nibbles.

5. Todd Morgan Live at Cottonwood Restaurant
Enjoy the retro rock sounds of Todd Morgan as you savor delicious dishes in the cozy and elegant atmosphere at Cottonwood.

6. Winter Beach Party
Start welcoming warmer temperatures with some tropical fun, live music, food specials, games and a snow sculpture contest at Tahoe Donner in northern Truckee.

7. Tainted Love at the CBC
Head over to the Crystal Bay Casino for a fun night of live musical entertainment performed by Tainted Love, an acclaimed ’80s music cover band hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area.

8. Snow Camping 101
Join this backcountry skills course led by the TRTA and learn to approach your winter camping activities safely and comfortably with weather and trip planning, leave no trace practices, backcountry cooking and keeping warm.

9, 13th Annual ‘I-Did-A-Run’ Dog Pull Race
Wind down North Lake Tahoe’s SnowFest! 2017 with this canine and crowd favorite, which also raises money for the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. Dogs of all sizes will compete by weight class in a sled pull for prizes.
When: Sunday, March 12 | Registration at noon, race at 1 p.m.

Cost: $20 per dog, includes a goody bag for the pup

10. Something Blue Wedding Expo
The expo will feature top Tahoe wedding vendors for florists, DJs, bakeries and local venues. Get ideas and rates for wedding plans leave with a keepsake gift bag.
