1. Winter Lecture Series – Franc Casey and Friends
Tahoe Maritime Museum presents a lecture series, this event will feature Franc Casey and Friends. Guests can expect to hear inspiring stories about wooden boats in this second of a two-part series.

2. 12th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival
Enjoy award winning environmental and adventure films that support local activism. The event promotes taking action in environmental responsibility and will feature a silent auction, special guests, an Activism Area and VIP section and benefits the Sierra Nevada Alliance and Sierra Nevada AmeriCorps Partnership.

3. Alibi Ale Works Beer Tasting at New Moon
Taste delicious craft brews from Incline Village-based Alibi Ale Works and have a look at all of the healthy options New Moon has to offer. This event benefits the Sierra Avalanche Center to fund backcountry avalanche forecasting in Tahoe.

4. March Madness Basketball Viewing
Head to the Vinyl Showroom on the South Shore for drink specials, HD projections screens and multiple HD TVs. Reserved seating and sports book betting is available for this weekend’s NCAA Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight games.

5. Tom Sims Retro World Championship
Boreal Mountain Resort hosts a two-day event in celebration and as tribute to Tom Sims’ legacy — 40 years of SIMS Snowboards. The event lasts all weekend long and has different tiers to register for based on how old your board is.

6. Tahoe Trees in Watercolor & Mixed Media
This art workshop teaches participants to create a collage of fun and interesting trees using mixed media. No previous painting or drawing skills are necessary and all supplies to create your masterpiece are included in the class.

7. Conversations with History: An Evening with Greg Palmer
Don’t miss this speaker series featuring Greg Palmer’s stories on the first wagons over the Sierra Nevada. The discussion will cover the Stephens Townsend Murphy Party of 1844, known as the “Lost Party,” as guests enjoy refreshments for purchase.

8. Sneaky Creatures Concert
Described as “an unusual blend of rock, jazz and Dixieland funk” this is one show not to miss. The septet is from Kings Beach and is sure to get you on your feet.

9. Skogsloppet Cross-Country Ski Race
Skogsloppet, Norwegian for “race through the forest,” invites all to join a cross-country ski race fundraiser for Truckee’s Middle and High School Nordic ski teams. The event is in its 25th year and will be along a fun 15-kilometer course.
When: Sunday, March 26 | 7:30-11 a.m.
Where: Tahoe Donner Cross-Country Ski Center
Cost: Adults: $30, 19 and under: $20 ($10 more on race day)

10. Free Après Ski Flow at Wanderlust
Join in on this free community yoga class sponsored by Clif Bar. The poses will focus on hips, low-back and hamstrings as well as all other essential ski muscles, tuning in on breath and alignment.
