Beer Drinkers and Hellraisers, a ZZ Top tribute band set to play Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe Saturday, Nov. 7, will not be growing mustaches for Movember, the annual fundraiser this month to raise money to benefit men’s health issues.
Nope, the beards are for real with this San Francisco Bay Area band, which bills itself as the “ultimate ZZ Top tribute” and plays the greatest hits of ZZ Top from the 1970s, such as “Tush” and “Just Got Paid.”
“Paying homage to America’s best rock ‘n roll band in history, the band dedicated itself to not only playing ZZ Tops music down to every detail, but [they] have the real beards and stage getups as well,” according to the band’s online biography, “[It’s] a must see and they will blow your mind!”
The band has made regular appearances around the Bay Area and headlined the Runnamucca Burning Bike Festival in Winnemucca, Nevada, in 2013 and 2014.
Saturday’s show is free and is scheduled to start at 9 p.m.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe is located at 50 U.S. Highway 50 in Stateline.
