SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — After concerned parents reported a man possibly selling pot to minors earlier this month, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department arrested a South Shore resident.

Gary Frega, 56, was booked into the El Dorado County Jail, where he is still in custody, on suspicion of selling marijuana to minors, some as young as 13 years old, according to a press release Thursday from the police department.

SLTPD launched an investigation after hearing parent’s complaints with cooperation from South Tahoe Middle School.

The investigation led SLTPD to serve an arrest and search warrant in the 1100 block of Aspenwald Road.

During the search, investigators found marijuana, a digital scale and packaging material.

No further information is available as the investigation continues.

Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact Officer Nick Carlquist at 530-542-6100.
