Area golf courses to open soon

With the unpredictable spring weather of the Sierra Nevada, the local golf courses have readjusted their opening dates.

As of Wednesday, all four of the South Shore course had firmed up their plans – pending any upcoming weather.

Lake Tahoe Golf Course plans to open nine holes on April 23, with all 18 holes scheduled for public play April 27.



Along with the walking nine holes, the driving range will open on Monday. For more information call (530) 577-0788.

Tahoe Paradise Golf Course already has the driving range open and plans to open nine holes on May 1 and the whole course on May 4. Please call (530) 577-2121 for updated information.



Bijou Municipal Course plans to open the third week of April, but anyone looking for an outing that week should call to confirm at (530) 542-6097.

Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course has not changed its May 10 opening date, including driving range.
