‘Big Mac’ gets another sack

Staff report

Former South Tahoe High football player Garrett McIntyre made a quarterback sack in the San Jose SaberCats’ Arena Football League defeat to Orlando on Saturday night.

McIntyre’s sack of Shane Stafford for a four-yard loss halted an Orlando’s drive inside the SaberCats’ 10 in the final minute of the first half. It was McIntyre’s third solo sack of the season.

The SaberCats lost the road game 61-35 to slip to 5-5 for the season, one-half game ahead of Arizona in the Western Division standings. The two teams meet Friday night in Arizona.
