Bigelow finds groove with dad’s clubs

Tribune staff report

Jennifer Bigelow’s dad may not be able to find his golf clubs the next time he heads out for a round of golf.

Borrowing some of her dad’s clubs, Bigelow led South Tahoe with a personal-best high school round of 95 Tuesday in Elko.

Bigelow became the latest Viking to lead the team in Northern Nevada 4A tournament play. Her teammates weren’t far behind as Kylie Novasel shot 97 and Jacy Gleave and Mollie Novasel carded 101s.

First-year player Amanda O’Hara continued to improve, shooting a 105.

The Vikings’ 499 total was good for fifth place but dropped the team to fourth place in the overall league standings. Galena finished first as it has all season.

“There is a real fight for the second place between Reed, McQueen, Spanish Springs and us,” said STHS coach Marsha Butler.
