Chargers sign Hug grad

SAN DIEGO (AP) – Boise State quarterback Bart Hendricks, a former Hug High star, signed a free-agent contract with the San Diego Chargers on Tuesday.

Hendricks was the highest-rated quarterback in college football this past season with a rating of 170.6. He also led the country in touchdown passes with 35, was third in passing yards per game with a 305.8 average, and fourth in total offense with a 330.3 yards-per-game mark.

Hendricks completed his four-year career at Boise State completing 650 of 1,142 passes for 9,030 yards and 78 touchdowns.



Hendricks finished his collegiate career by playing in the East-West Shrine All-Star Game.

UNLV wideout Nate Turner also signed a one-year deal with the Chargers.
