South Tahoe Middle School eighth-grader Ally Sullivan is just a few meets away from qualifying for the Junior Olympic Cross Country National Championships in San Antonio, Texas. Her strong and consistent running has put her in the top five at USA Track & Field meets this season. This will be Ally’s third trip to the Junior Olympics. She holds the Tah-Neva course record for the seventh-grade course, and has had two consecutive undefeated seasons. She is currently training with coaches Austin Angell and Mark Hoefer.

“Ally needs to finish in the top 20 to be eligible to go to the Junior Olympics,” STMS Athletic Director Kathleen Whatford stated in an email. “She is finishing in the top 5 consistently in all the USATF meets.”
