Heavenly ranked 10th by Transworld

Heavenly Mountain Resort made its debut on a notable list when the South Shore resort was ranked 10th in North America by Transworld Snowboarding. Whistler/Blackcomb, Canada was ranked first and is followed by Mammoth Mountain, Breckenridge (Colo.), Park City (Utah) and Loon Mountain (N.H.).

The highest ranked Tahoe resort was Northstar-at-Tahoe, which moved up four spots from last year and is ranked sixth. Squaw Valley is ranked ninth.

“Our readers are on the snow constantly and they know which resorts are delivering,” said Kurt Hoy, the magazine’s chief content director. “You can count on the resorts on this list being on-point on and off the slopes.”

Resorts were ranked in a variety of categories, including snow quality, vibe, nightlife, food, lodging, lifts and challenge. For a more detailed analysis of the magazine’s rankings, check out the November issue of Transworld Snowboarding.
