Home schoolers welcome for Track Classic
Home schoolers are encouraged to enter the South Shore Fourth-Fifth Grade Track Classic presented by the South Tahoe Optimist and Tahoe-Douglas Rotary clubs on June 7 at South Tahoe Middle School.
Meet director Anthony Davis is advising home schoolers to sign up as soon as possible since entry into events is first come, first served. Home schoolers must be registered by June 1.
The one-day event also includes elementary school students from the area’s seven schools.
Events are scheduled to commence at 4 p.m.
“Things are really shaping up for this meet,” Davis said.
Elementary schools are in the process of holding their own meets to determine representatives to the Classic. Bijou is holding its meet Friday, while Meyers is planning its competition June 1.
For more information, phone Davis at (530) 541-1873.
