HSF skier top three in Utah FIS

Slalom and Snowbasin, Utah, are a combination that suited Cory Harris just fine.

The Heavenly Ski Foundation skier recorded his best FIS result of the year Jan. 8 at the Western Region Elite Tech Series with a third place finish, lowering his FIS point total.

He finished with a combined time of 1 minute 34.32 seconds. Will McDonald (1:32.61) of the U.S., finished ahead of everybody by more than 1 second. Alexander Freberg (1:33.66) or Norway, finished runner-up.

Teammate Chris McKeen (1:35.33) also finished with his second best finish this year by one place at eighth. At seventh was Tim Jitloff (1:35.31) from Sugar Bowl Ski Team.

“They were skiing great. The course wasn’t very easy so they really had to get after it,” said Patricia Schneeberger, HSF J1/2/3 coach.
