Lake Tahoe Celebrity-Am kicks off celebrity golf festivities Tuesday

STATELINE — Celebrity Golf week teed off Tuesday with the Lake Tahoe Celebrity-Am Tournament. Light galleries featuring autograph seekers peppered Edgewood Tahoe as a handful of athletes and celebrities played alongside amateur golfers in advance of the 26th-annual American Century Championship.
Tuesday’s action was highlighted by first-time ACC participant Justin Timberlake making his debut. Wearing a pink shirt and tan hat, Timberlake played with recent Dancing with the Stars winner Alfonso Ribeiro.
Green Bay Packers quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers also teed off in the afternoon. The morning’s shotgun start featured 18 groups, including defending tournament champion Mark Rypien.
