Lambdin, Wise lead STHS skiers

South Tahoe’s Kate Lambdin finished sixth in the varsity girls’ race, while David Wise placed third in the boys’ open race to lead the Vikings on Friday at the North Tahoe Pursuit in Tahoe City.

Kayla Hudson placed 11th in the girls’ varsity race, which was won by Truckee’s Anika Taylor, while freshman Tiffany Racz was 11th in the girls’ open race.

Joey Summerhill finished fifth in the same race Wise placed third in, while teammate Rand Norberg was 11th.



North Tahoe’s Cassidy Curtin won the open boys’ race in 16 minutes, 27.60 seconds, almost seven minutes faster than second-place finisher Austin Meng of Truckee.

South Tahoe’s next race is on Friday at Kirkwood.
